Fair Warning: I am a strong Rocketshipper (someone who supports the romantic coupling of Musashi and Kojiro) so if you don't approve, I'm telling you now that it might show, so you should probably go if it bothers you.

Why Team Rocket?

If you've ever been a Pokemon fan, you've probably seen at least a dozen sites dedicated to the crazy trio. So why make another one? Well, it's simple I guess. I love them. As any anime fan could tell you, there are favorite characters and shows that come and go, but the real jewels stay with you. These guys, in my eyes, are those jewels. In the five years I've known Pokemon they have stayed with me and I always look to them with fondness and warmth. They helped me cope during a very difficult period (first job and first year of college at the same time! Ouch!) and for that I am very grateful. I may not have liked them at first, but it's certainly different now.

Meet the Rockets

musashiMusashi The firey redhead and female of the group, Musashi can be rather violent and controlling. While this is so, deep down she is a good person and cares about her friends, especially Kojiro, whom she has known since childhood. Musashi's past is rather foggy, but I do know her mother was one of Team Rocket's top agents who disappeared when she was a little girl. Her family was so poor that Musashi recalls her mother feeding her snow in the winter with a bit of soy sauce (#_#) Although it's a mystery to me as to why that was so if her mother was so important.

kojirouKojiro A bit of a wimp. And a crybaby. He basically lets Nyasu and Musashi run the show, while he tags along. He does have some smarts, but can also be rather dumb. Musashi treats him poorly at times, but he never hits or harms her. He is kind and caring when need be, especially when Musashi is feeling down and needs support. Kojiro is a spoiled rich boy (he is known to have shared stories of his former luxuries; however now he probably doesn't have 1000 yen to his name) whose parents live in an excessively huge mansion. Kojiro ran away as a boy when his parents tried to marry him off to a crazy girl he was terrified of (and with good reason!). To this day, unless he comes back and marries her he will get none of his inheritance.

nyasuNyasu The only talking Pokemon around, Nyasu is the brains behind the group (mostly) and doesn't hesitate to boss Musashi and Kojiro around when they aren't doing what he wants them to. He is hard headed with an attitude and dreams of being Top Cat for their boss at Rocket Headquarters. While this is so, Nyasu still sticks up for what he feels is right and helps his friends out.

Those Darn Rockets

The most beloved villians on the show in my opinion, who are highly underrated and get most of the flak. No matter how hard they try, Satoshi-tachi (Satoshi and friends) always win. They end up getting thrust into the sky to land someplace hard and uncomfortable until they can try again. In the beginning, when we first meet them, obviously they were doing pretty well, and seemed a lot more confident and evil (later on in the series they become more of a comedy relief and are a lot more stupid). How else would they get to the Class B ranking if they didn't do something right? After meeting Satoshi and Kasumi, though, we can see that their success rate plummets. Even when they aren't out to capture Pikachu (they feel there is something special about him and thus the key to winning their boss over), somehow they run into them and everything is thwarted. Poor Team Rocket.

They Aren't Really Evil, Right?

Have we ever seen them really harm a Pokemon (well, besides Nyasu obviously)? They can throw them into nets, cages, but they have never hit or overwise really injured a Pokemon. Besides, they are just doing their job and trying to get by. Like anyone else would, right? Deep down they are good people. They call themselves evil, but when you really think about it, they really aren't.

The Beginnings of Team Rocket

Musashi and Kojiro, after a span of being apart, meet up again after they join Team Rocket. A Team Rocket special aired in Japan (to my knowledge it has not been shown in America) showing their early days and the determination of youth. Here are some screenshots I took of that special. ((Many thanks goes to Sami for providing me with the special (^_^)))

Go back!
